Accreditation by the IAC means that Kentuckiana Ear, Nose and Throat has undergone a thorough review of its operational and technical components by a panel of experts. The IAC grants accreditation only to those facilities that are found to be providing quality patient care, in compliance with national standards through a comprehensive application process including detailed case study review.
IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval” that patients can rely on as an indication that the facility has been carefully critiqued on all aspects of its operations considered relevant by medical experts in the field of CT. When scheduled for a CT procedure, patients are encouraged to inquire as to the accreditation status of the facility where their examination will be performed and can learn more by visiting: www.intersocietal.org/ct/main/patients.htm.
Kentuckiana ENT offers the convenience of CT scan evaluation of the sinuses and temporal bones in their Springs location. Point-of-care imaging allows our physicians to diagnose problems of the sinuses and ears with immediate access to images, resulting in faster diagnosis and treatment. The in-office CT scan generally takes only 10-20 seconds, and patients are able to sit comfortably during the scan. In addition, the CT scan has significantly low radiation exposure (1/8th the dose) than traditional scans.
