PMID: 23711033 [PubMed - in process] Dr. Higgins was the invited lecturer for a dinner presentation at Seviche restaurant in Louisville, KY to a group of doctors and physician extenders, describing his approach to managing complicated and refractory chronic rhinosinusitis. He reviewed the many causes of chronic rhinosinusitis and how management can differ. He also talked about prevention of scarring after surgery and the importance of ongoing medical therapy. The audience had many questions, and an extended discussion followed that will hopefully provide the caregivers with strategies to better manage their patients with chronic rhinosinusitis.
