The investigators performed a retrospective review of 70 infants who were up to 10 months old from November 2015 to May 2016. Complete hearing tests were performed. They found a prevalence of 5.8% sensorineural hearing loss, which is 40 times the rate for infants in the US and similar to rates of other congenital viral infections.
