As reported by CNN.com, Louisville, KY was ranked the #1 worst city for Spring allergies. See the link here. Louisville returns to the top position after sliding to #5 last year. The article reports that the ranking comes from higher-than-average pollen counts, high use of allergy medications, and too fee allergy specialists. I understand the first two, but I would have to disagree with "too few allergy specialists" being in the area. Nonetheless, here is the ranking for the cities with the worst Spring allergies:
1. Louisville, Kentucky 2. Memphis, Tennessee 3. Baton Rouge, Louisiana 4. Oklahoma City 5. Jackson, Mississippi 6. Chattanooga, Tennessee 7. Dallas 8. Richmond, Virginia 9. Birmingham, Alabama 10. McAllen, Texas |
