What is the NEUROMARK® procedure?

The NEUROMARK® Procedure is a cutting-edge approach to the treatment of chronic rhinitis, offering people suffering from runny nose another option when nasal sprays and allergy treatment fails. Developed by Neurent Medical, this innovative treatment utilizes a novel radiofrequency ablation technology specifically designed to target and treat the posterior nasal nerves responsible for chronic rhinitis symptoms.

Clinical Evidence for NEUROMARK®

In the pivotal clinical study of the NEUROMARK® system involving 36 adults with chronic rhinitis, the NEUROMARK® system—a novel radiofrequency ablation device targeting the posterior nasal nerves—demonstrated significant improvement in symptoms of rhinorrhea and nasal congestion, with mean percent improvements of 53% and 55% respectively at 3 months post-procedure. The total nasal symptom scores and quality of life assessments also saw substantial enhancements, with 78% of patients achieving a responder rate of at least 30% reduction from baseline and 89% of participants reporting a clinically significant improvement in symptoms (using the mini RQLQ score). Importantly, throughout the study duration, no device-related serious adverse events were reported, indicating the procedure's strong safety profile.

How is the NEUROMARK® procedure performed?

The NEUROMARK® Procedure is a minimally invasive treatment that gently disrupts nerve signals using radiofrequency energy, thereby reducing symptoms associated with chronic rhinitis. The procedure uses our knowledge of the nasal anatomy and how the nerves play a critical role in nasal symptomology.

The procedure is typically performed in an office setting and often takes less than 30 minutes. Patients report minimal pain and there is no need for sedation.
